Once an island, during the Turkish invasions Primošten protected itself with ramparts and towers, and built a causeway to connect it to the mainland. Today, it is a beautiful tourist destination surrounded by seven islets and numerous pebble coves.
Being an ancient fishing village, Primošten preserved a unique atmosphere of medieval Mediterranean architecture. Its beauty and warm hospitality of the local people make tourists to come back.


Site-seeing & excursions - Centuries long tradition of olive groove and vineyard growing has rendered a famous red vine - the Primošten Babić.

The rural community of Primošten Burnji, in the hinterland of the town of Primošten, is offering you a chance to learn about traditional and genuine ways of life. The St. George's church was built in 1298, and some archeological finds are 2000 years old.
